WHO WE ARE

Heather Colbert is a Certified Human Factors Professional and a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. She received her B.A.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Systems Management from the University of Toronto in 2000. Heather has applied expertise to a wide variety of complex socio-technical systems in the military, public safety, healthcare, and commercial domains over the last twenty years.

Heather specializes in user research, ergonomics and Human Factors evaluations of both physical and cognitive aspects of advanced technology in complex environments. She has been directly involved in planning and conducting over 30 large scale Human Factors user evaluations of technology ranging from advanced soldier systems to IV infusion pumps and blood analyzers. Areas of expertise include requirements definition and analysis; in-field collection and analysis of performance data; and, interviews and focus groups.
